No matter what holiday you celebrate during this season, I wish you and yours a very happy holiday! I hope the new year brings you happiness, laughter, joy, and prosperity.
This time of year, when the old year comes to a close and the new year beckons like a bright, shiny new penny, is traditionally when we look back on our lives and consider what we’ve accomplished during the year and look forward to new goals.
As I look back on 2016, I realize how much I’ve accomplished. I achieved one of my life-long dreams of becoming a published author. In 2016, I completed and published Ancient Enemies, the first book in my series, The Malvers War, finished the rewrites and published the second book, Ancient Allies, wrote the draft of the third book, The Scourge Incursion, planned book four, Exile’s Vengeance, and started the prequel story. It’s exciting to see how much I did in 2016. There is a lot of work that goes into publishing a book, besides writing it, and it’s been fun learning the publishing business and becoming an authorpreneur.
As I look forward to 2017, there’s a lot more to accomplish! I have so many stories that want to be written and shared. I have the edits back from my editor for book three and I’m working on the rewrites and changes she suggested. I’m working to get the prequel novella (it doesn’t have a title yet!) to the editor in January so I can get it out to my subscribers. Once those two are done, it will be on to writing book four, the exciting conclusion to The Malvers War, and then beginning the new series, The Sentinels, an urban fantasy this time. For my fans of The Malvers War, don’t worry, there are more stories waiting on the sidelines set in this world, including a complete spin-off series.
I want to take this time to thank all of my fans and supporters for helping me make my dream come true of being a published author. I couldn’t do this without you. I hope you enjoy reading my stories as much as I enjoy writing them.
What have you accomplished this year? Have you reached your goals or moved closer to them? What are your new goals? I’d love to hear from you!
