This book is a page turner! I could not put it down. So fun to read a NEW story about good vs evil. And the romance made it even more exiting! Definitely a must read!

This is the first book in the dark urban fantasy series where Catlyn, a peace loving tarot reader and healer comes in contact with demons and her life is turned on it’s head overnight. For some unknown reason she seems to have been targeted and people close to her are being brutally murdered. Catlyn fears for her own life and wishes she had magical powers to protect herself and those she cared for.

Meantime Sean is a detective who has been following the crimes of a serial killer for the past three years, he is going out of his mind through frustration as deaths are mounting and he is nowhere close to catching his prime suspect. Michael Drogger is the son of a powerful millionaire and is pure evil, but Sean cannot seem to find evidence against him even though he knows that Michael is the iron maiden killer.

Phew this book is nerve wrecking, I was scared for Catlyn’s life throughout the book and the final battle is amazing. It is a war between light and dark forces and Catlyn’s courage is awesome but she was not alone in her fight! I loved the first book and all the witchy lore about tarot readings and crystal healing and cannot wait to read about further battles between our sentinel witches and the demons and their daemon masters and hopefully more romance between Sean and Catlyn.

Crossroads to Destiny by Tora Moon is a good book.

I liked reading it. It’s interesting and intriguing and it kept me going because I needed to know what happened next. Both protagonists—Catlyn Hennessey who is a young woman who works with energy healing and tarot card readings, and Sean McLarkin, a detective on the hunt for a serial killer—are really likable. They are nice and good, which is great if you are on Team Good in the fight against Evil.

The author did a great job researching the mystical side of things, and the delivery was great. It didn’t bore me with the explanations and descriptions. So it’s easy to read and you just keep turning the page without trouble. I would have liked a lot more information on the mythological side of things which I hope gets expanded in the next books.

The romantic subplot was sweet, though don’t expect this to be a romance. It is not a romance. The seeds are there. This is a setup for the pairing for the next book or books. But it was nice and you can get behind the shipping.

If you are looking for a little bit of mystery and a classic good versus evil and fighting action, this is a good book for you.

Be warned there is some shocking content, though not completely graphic and explicit, it has enough details to paint the picture and keep going. I enjoyed that though. It gave me the mayhem I crave without being too much.

However, it should have come with a warning if you are a parent and it triggers you when harm is done to children. If you don’t have a problem with the warnings, then go ahead and read to your heart’s content.

Crossroads to Destiny it’s a great setup for the series to come. I can’t wait to see more of the Sentinel Witches.

I love stories that are supernatural and have magic in it. Tora’s story reminds me a little of those myth stories that I’ve heard about growing up. Her character feels like you’re stepping into her shoes and experience what she’s feeling and seeing. It’s like being in two worlds but not everyone is able to see it. I definitely could understand her character in some things. I’ve experienced the dreams and visions that come true. I can’t wait to see what other adventures Catlyn has or gifts that she may get. Definitely would recommend Crossroads to Destiny to friends and family.
